reminder

My sister's graduation "celebration" at the church my parents go to was today. It was a really nice service, but I was really touched by the testimonies and charges which people gave today. It reminded me of a such important lesson I took with me to college when I graduated.

Your faith must be your own. Your ministry must be your own. You as an individual must allow those two things be a work of God as you grow. There is no one else running the race for you...it is yours to run with God to lead you.

Despite the amazing friendships, mentorships, and otherwise. I think this is the central thing to remember going into my senior year. GCC is where I am a member, it is my community in which I grow, serve, and fellowship. I believe God is ever present and working in that church community, but I cannot depend on it. I will make it my charge to continue to grow my faith this year so that when I step out into the big scary world next year it will be even more solidified within me to take it on with God by side. Likewise I hope that we all can take ownerships of our faith and run the race together as a body of faithful believers who have fully and completely given our lives to our Savior.
