today is valentine's day- a day that is set aside so that we can appreciate the "significant other" that is in our lives. unfortunately many times we, single people, concentrate a lot on that significant other that is not there and how there is an empty hole that is not yet filled. but today instead of doing this, let us reflect on our ultimate lover. the one that fills us fuller than any human lover ever will. the one that knows us better than any person could. the one that created us and has stayed by us no matter where we have been, how we have hurt Him, or how far we ran away. He's there and will forever be.

also, today is the day to acknowledge that we have an amazing God that has picked out- far beforehand- our paths and when our paths would cross someone else's path. the someone that we will run alongside of, the one who we will have the opportunity to labor in the Lord with, the one that will be our present so that we may have a companion in this world. i don't know about you, but i'm excited about this. i'm excited about seeing God work and seeing this relationship that is a handiwork of His hands and how much sweeter this will be in the given time.
